Mobile Home StepsSteps for a front, back or side entrance to a mobile home are made in three basic types. Wood, concrete, and fiberglass. These steps work for just about any building that have a raised entrance and require stairs for safe and easy access for everyone coming and going.
Portable Wooden StepsThe easy and cheap solution. On a budget, on your own, or in search of a basic and temporary solution? Wooden steps are the way to go. They are the easiest to lift, and they get you up to the level to enter your home for the least amount of money. Wooden stairs are not as wide or deep as the other steps. They are treated with a light coating of weather sealer, although one way to extend the life of your wooden steps is to apply another coat of water sealer. Also consider setting the base on a plastic or concrete base to avoid leaving the legs in standing water long term. 27" wide, and each step is 7" deep and 8" high.
Portable Concrete Steps Concrete steps are heavy and long-lasting. A two-stepper needs three people to lift and set in place, while the larger ones are best moved with a forklift or a team of body-builders. Once you get them in front of your door, however, concrete steps will last for years Concrete steps are difficult to keep entirely uniform - edges will wear and even chip when knocked with enough pressure in a small area - but the rounded edges and weather-worn look will not detract from their durability and usefulness. 47" wide, and each step is 11.5" deep and 7" high.
Portable Fiberglass Steps
Fiberglass steps bring the best of both worlds. They are lighter than concrete steps, but more durable than wooden steps. Built around a wooden frame, these fiberglass stairs will last many years withstanding the weather and providing a safe, wide entrance into your building or home. Fiberglass stairs have individual strands of fiber sticking out along the sides, which can be sharp if they catch you just right, but can easily be avoided by wearing gloves when you are picking up the steps to move to a new location. 36" wide, and each step is 11.5" deep and 8" high .
