A privacy lock set locks from one side with a simple turn of a knob. Unlike a passage set which does not lock at all and an entry set that locks with a key, the privacy set is the perfect solution for a bedroom or bathroom. The ability to lock prevents unwanted intrusions, yet it's not a major hassle if a door ever gets locked accidentally, just open with the special T-key provided.
